Initial Conversation

A conversation with the parent or professional to understand the learner's profile, needs, and goals.

Optional Meet & Greet

An optional meeting with the young person to reduce anxiety before starting sessions. Either online or in-person.

Full Assessment

Assessment of current strengths, interests, hobbies, and learning-barriers to inform the learning plan.

Personalised Plan

A bespoke plan built around their interests, hobbies, learning style, EHCP outcomes, and personal goals.

Regular Reviews

Clear targets set each half-term with progress reviews, involving both the guardian(s) and the learner.

Delivery Options

At Home

Sessions in the learner's home environment

Community Spaces

Libraries, cafes, or other agreed locations (abiding by safeguarding legislation)

Online

Virtual sessions via video call

Referral Procedure

Referrals can be made by parents, schools, SEND teams, virtual schools, EOTAS teams and social care.

Information to Include

  • Learner name and age
  • Brief background and presenting needs
  • Current education provision
  • EHCP or relevant reports
  • Safeguarding information if required
  • Preferred days and times

What Happens Next

  • Response within 24 to 48 hours
  • Initial consultation organised
  • Practical arrangements discussed
  • Waiting list if immediate start not available

Additional Notes

  • Professionals welcome to attend sessions if agreed by family
  • Written reports for EHCP reviews available on request
